My first time trying to make a diaper cake for my niece Alexandra. This is her first baby. I wanted to make something to decorate the table with so i decided to try this. I think it came out great. First i picked out a hand painted stool to use as my cake holder, then i got a plastic tray to place on it for the diapers i placed a baby bottle on the tray then after rolling all the diapers with small pastel hair-ponytail holders i started building around the bottle then adding one more bottle and using large elastic bands around each cake layer.Then i added the ribbons i choose and put little trinkets all around the diapers. Then i found the perfect soft pastel puppy and he just fit around it so great.
