Christmas baby shower
Deck the halls with bibs & bottles,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
'Tis the season for a baby,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la!

There is no greater time of year to have a new baby than Christmas time! And even Rudolph couldn't have gathered better baby shower ideas for Christmas games, invitations, favors, food, and decorations!

Here are some fun and creative ideas for a beautiful Christmas Baby Shower:

Christmas Baby Shower Decorations

You'll be using lots of green and red!

Start with getting a small, decorative pine tree and make a "Baby" Christmas tree. Buy light pink, light blue, or white Christmas lights. Add baby garland. Hang ornaments like pacifiers, little baby socks, booties, bibs, rubber duckies, little rattles, stars, angel figurines, etc. You can decorate the tree with any theme you want.

Next, some party supply stores sell garland with little tinsel baby shapes on it. It could be used to drape across the room, or a banister, or on a fake tree.

Streamers can be strung (with tape) throughout the party room to give your baby shower decorations more color and texture. Use green and red streamers throughout the party room. Sometimes baby shower decorations look strewn about a room, without anything to unify and pull everything together. Streamers that match your baby shower theme colors do exactly that; they tie in all of the decorations together to look unified and balanced. Be sure to hang them high so they don't get in the way.

Candles will make the baby shower feel elegant and classy. You can find candles of all sorts of Christmas colors and scents.

A tablecloth is a simple and easy way to add to your theme and decorations. There are a number of inexpensive, Christmas themed tablecloths at most party supply stores.

Another fun winter/Christmas decoration is to hang paper snowflakes from the windows and ceiling to make it a Winter Wonderland!

You could also hang a clothesline across the room, and then using clothespins, pin baby clothes, booties, onesie, diapers and also paper snowflakes on the clothesline for a darling baby/winter decoration.

Christmas Baby Shower GAMES

Christmas Crossword
Here is a fun & free printable baby shower game to start with.
Preparation for this Christmas baby shower game: Make a copy of the Christmas Crossword (click on link above) for each of your guests.
How to play this Christmas baby shower game: Give each guest a copy of the Christmas Crossword and a pen or pencil. They must use the Across and Down clues to fill in the blanks on the card. The first one to correctly fill in all of the words is the winner!

12 Days of Christmas Carol
Preparation for this baby shower game: Print out one copy for each guest of the lyrics to the "Twelve Days of Christmas" song, click here for lyrics.
How to play this baby shower game: Divide guests into 6 groups. Randomly assign each group 2 of the 12 days of Christmas lines. Then instruct each group to sing their line of the song in order AND act out their lyric when they sing (i.e. 9 maids a dancing, 8 maids a milking, etc). The song repeats itself each verse, and adds a new line. So everyone needs to pay attention! It is hilarious to watch everyone's actions and there is no winner or loser, just a good time for EVERYONE!

Christmas Carol Chaos
Preparation for this baby shower game: Prepare a list of 5 - 10 Christmas Carols. Have blank paper and pencils ready.
How to play this free baby shower game: During the shower, form 2 teams. Set each team at a different table and give each one some paper and pencils. Have one member of each team come up to the front where you are and show them both the first word on the list, but don't let them see the rest of the words. The will go back to their table and draw the item or phrase that they saw on the list. They can't write any letters, only pictures. When the group guesses the correct Christmas carol, they all must sing the song out loud. They win a point. Two new people, one from each group, come up and get the name of another Christmas carol and return to their team to draw clues. Repeat for 7 or 8 Christmas songs. The team with the most points, wins!

Here is a list of Christmas Carols you could use:

Away in a manger
O little town of Bethlehem
Little Drummer boy
Hark the Herald angels sing
As Shepherds watched their flocks by night

Silent Night
Noel

It came upon a midnight clear
